Materials
Leather: Natural and high quality material valued for its durability, strength and longevity. Thanks to its natural structure, it gradually adapts to the shape of the foot and ensures high wearing comfort. It is breathable, helps regulate moisture and maintains an optimal microclimate inside the shoe. Rubber: It is one of the most widely used materials for the production of soles due to its high mechanical resistance and durability. The main advantage of rubber soles is their excellent grip (traction) on different types of surfaces, which minimises the risk of slipping. The material is naturally flexible, waterproof and effectively absorbs shocks during walking. Cariuma is a Brazilian footwear brand that was founded in 2018 by David Pythons and Fernando Porto. Two friends who decided to respond to the lack of sustainable yet stylish sneakers on the market. Cariuma quickly gained popularity for its timeless design inspired by the surf and skateboard culture of Brazil, but adapted to global fashion tastes.
Natural and renewable materials such as organic cotton, bamboo, natural rubber and recycled PET bottles are a distinctive feature of the brand. Cariuma prides itself on transparent production and actively invests in rainforest restoration. For every pair sold, it plants two new trees in the Mata Atlântica region of Brazil.
